CONTACT Rape Crisis Center serves the
Greater Huntington area as well as Cabell, Mason, Wayne, and Lincoln
Counties. It is a
non-profit organization that seeks to help those who are survivors of sexual
assault/abuse. We operate a 24 hour hotline number, (304) 399-1111, which
allows survivors, as well as their friends and family, to contact us at
their time of need. We provide support at the hospital during the
medical exam, as well as during police questioning and court appearances.
We also provide individual counseling. All of our services are
confidential and free.
In addition to helping
sexual assault survivors, we also make sexual assault prevention/education
presentations and we welcome volunteers.
A specially trained
team member can be reached through the CONTACT 24 hour Hotline.
Team members are available for advocacy and
support throughout all medical exams, police questioning and court
proceedings.CONTACT offers free individual and
group counseling. A support group made up of sexual assault
survivors
meets
once a week.
Counseling is
available for survivors of sexual violence and their family members and
